It was renovated in 2014 with a refined design featuring vintage touches and paintings by a local artist, as well as large windows that endow every room a breath-taking view. Sleeping 13 guests, the 6 bedrooms are situated on the first floor (one of the 6 bedrooms accomadate 3 guest). Stroll up the majestic wooden staircase to find each beautifully decorated room, complete with satellite TV, mini-bar and private marble bathroom. On request, the ground floor TV room can be converted into an extra double bedroom. The ground floor of the Lake Maggiore View Villa has several shared living areas where you and your travel companions can relax and socialise, as well as a smart stainless steel kitchen. Make music with the grand piano, put your skills to the test on the onyx chessboard, enjoy a movie on the 3D TV or use the Playstation3 and the AppleTV. The villa is well-equipped to welcome families, with high-chairs, baby beds and other childcare accessories, plus a good selection of toys. There is also a basement floor wellness area with jacuzzi, Turkish bath and gym equipment. Exteriors The villa’s exterior spaces allow you to enjoy the best of al-fresco living. A transparent roofed arbour and barbecue grill are conveniently located for meals on the lawn beside the 12 x 5m swimming pool (opened from May to September). Guests also have access to water polo goals, table tennis and table football, and can wander down the stone staircase that leads through the terraced garden to the serenity of the pine forest below. Location Overlooking Lake Maggiore with magnificent views of the Borromean Islands, the villa is located in Baveno, a small lake village overlooking the lake. It is a perfect base for explorations of the region. Visit Milan (less than an hour away), go trekking at Lake Orta or even cross the border to Switzerland, which is around 35km from the villa. Snow lovers will explore the Alps and their beautiful slopes. Do not miss a visit to Isola Madre island, where guests will admire the sumptuous Borromean Palace, dating back to the XVII century, and its important Italian garden. Moreover on Isola Bella island you will find a rich botanic garden.
